QA Automation

This is a terrific opportunity for a smart and collaborative test professional to join our Quality Engineering department and lead one of our fast-paced project. Responsible for creating quality and optimal test suite to meet the business objectives while working with other senior members of the team. Acts as a test expert with project teams to address systems, software integration issues. Additionally, works cross team and come up with palpable test strategy.  Responsible for functional, regression and integration test and work with project teams to create robust test plan. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Quality Assurance Lead will provide automation test leadership for mission critical business applications with multiple interfaces. The end-to-end validation and/or testing of applications/systems leveraging a Test Center of Excellence with onshore and offshore resources.
2. The development of accurate work estimates/forecasts/accounting of testing/validation activities.
3. Ensures resources and organization structure are in place and operating effectively.
4. Supports the team to ensure success, including removing roadblocks, helping the team to navigate the organization, etc.
5. Ensures delivery of projects are on time and on budget, to meet the needs of the business.
6. Assists with strategy/design considerations for more complex projects that may involve multiple technical teams, serving as an integration point between the different teams.
7. Conducts reviews and inspections to identify issues and recommend corrective action, often assisting staff in more challenging situations.
8. Interacts and develops relationships cross-functionally both internally within IT and externally with business partners to provide solutions and process improvement.
9. Identify automation test design/strategies/scenarios/ to drive efficiencies for all aspects of testing.
10. Implement and Extend Test Automation Frameworks to advance the delivery of business
11. Assist other developers and automation engineers in maintaining the frameworks
12. Participate in all aspects of automation testing including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
13. Develop testing scenarios/cases to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, boundary/negative testing, usability.
14. Drive continuous integration and deployment strategies leveraging tools like Jenkins/Visual Studio with a DevOps concept

STANDARD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define roadmap for QA Department and implement QA best practices to ensure high quality, on time delivery of the projects.
• Work with engineering team / business partners and strategize all QA activities which includes – Provide expertise in scope definition, effort estimating and sizing for automation testing.
• Assist onsite / offshore automation test team in the development of all testing-related documentation, including framework design, test plans, test scripts, and defect reports.
• Reporting of key testing statistics and trends related to test design and execution highlighting system quality and team status against committed project milestones.
• Manage the execution of Regression /Integration/Functional tests and the documentation of tests results.
• Manage the defect logging/tracking/reporting process.
• Manage the day-to-day work.
• Build QA team and hire right candidates
